Probe Heads
The probe head forms the heart of every coordinate measuring machine. Combined with a probe, it generates the measurement data during inspection cycles.

Manual heads for touch trigger probes provide excellent basic capabilities. The automatic probe heads extend that capability with a kinematic joint for the coupling of scanning probes and laser scanners. Our continuous wrists offer servo wrist flexibility, where styli can be aligned in any direction.




HH-A-T2.5 / HH-AS-T2.5 Automatic 2.5° Probe Heads


The HH-A-T2.5 is capable of indexing in 2.5° increments and can achieve 12,240 unique positions.

The head is fitted with a kinematic joint (TKJ) which can be connected to a Multiwire to give multi sensor support.

The TKJ can be changed either manually without the need for requalification or automatically with the HR-R tool changer.

HH-A-H2.5 / HH-AS-H2.5 Automatic HD Probe Heads


The HH-A-H2.5 is capable of indexing in 2.5° increments and can achieve 20,736 unique positions due to increased rotation of the A Axis (± 180°).

The head is fitted with the Heavy duty kinematic joint (HDKJ), which can be connected to a Multiwire to give full multi sensor support.

The HDKJ carries extensions of up to 750mm. Laser scanners and scanning heads can be supported further from the axis of rotation than with conventional probe heads due to the combination of extreme rotational torque and the HDKJ adaptor.

The HDKJ can be changed either manually without the need for requalification or automatically with the HR-R tool changer fitted with the optional HR-RH Heavy duty module changer.

HH-A / HH-AS Automatic 7.5° Probe Heads


This fully motorized, highly accurate probe head is the universal system component for use with any multicoordinate measuring machine, whatever the model or manufacturer. It can be used with extension bars up to 300 mm long.

Sensors can be connected to the Probe Head with a kinematic joint (HH-A-T7.5 and HH-AS-T7.5) or a M8 threaded connection (HH-A-M7.5 and HH-AS-M7.5).

The Probe Heads are capable of indexing in 7.5° increments and can achieve 720 unique positions.
